My Son

| My son Ben was born in August of 1984. Mary and I named him after his two great-grandfathers, Benjamine from my side and Jean from her side. At the time of his birth we lived in Littleton, Colorado. My father drove from Port Isabel, Texas to Littleton, Colorado non-stop just to hold his grandson. | |||

| Mary and I took a vacation during the Christmas season of 1984. We visited her parents and mine. At the time dad was in traction because he reinjured his back. His health did not stop him from playing with Ben. This is the last photo of Ben with my father. Dad died of a stroke in January of 1985. | |||
